Creamy mushroom sauce with umami drip

What's better than mushrooms? That's right: mushrooms in cream sauce.

And when you add the umami drip , a classic becomes a real highlight. This sauce works not only with pasta, but also with anything that needs a creamy embrace: mashed potatoes, gnocchi, polenta, you name it. 🍄💥

Ingredients (for 2 servings):
– 250 g mixed mushrooms (e.g. oyster mushrooms)
– 1 small onion
– 1 clove of garlic
– 150 ml vegetable cooking cream (e.g. oat or soy)
– 1 tbsp Umami Drip
– 1 tsp mustard
– 1 tbsp oil
– Pepper, fresh herbs

Preparation:

  1. Slice the mushrooms and finely chop the onion and garlic.

  2. Fry in oil until crispy, then reduce heat.

  3. Add cooking cream, mustard and Umami Drip , simmer for 5 minutes.

  4. Season to taste and serve with pasta, mashed potatoes or polenta.

Tip: Fresh thyme or parsley makes it perfect.
